EU legal instruments for the protection of whistleblowers

EU legal instruments for the protection of whistleblowers Abstract This thesis deals with the issue of protection of whistleblowers within the European Union, with a particular emphasis on the view of Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law. In the context of the issue, the thesis also analyses the approach of the European Court of Human Rights, which has commented on the protection of whistleblowers many times in the past through its case law. The Court has looked at the issue from the perspective of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights, its decisions are nevertheless a relevant source of information for finding answers to the questions of effective provision of legal protection to whistleblowers. The thesis further analyses the transposition of the Directive into the Czech legal system in the form of Act No. 171/2023 Coll., on the protection of whistleblowers. In order to draw conclusions about the compatibility of the transposed Czech legislation with the EU legislation, a comparative analysis with the Austrian, German and Slovak legal systems was carried out as well. Ecodesign and its influence on the design of production machines

The bachelor thesis focuses on processing regulatory legislative standards applying to production machines. It provides an overview of tools for assessing the life cycle of products using the methods of eco-design and summarizes the current approach manufacturers of production machinery in improving the energy efficiency of their products. It includes new design and conceptual design of production machinery including new machining technologies. It presents the advantages of virtual prototyping, additive technologies, optimization, toolpath verification and simulation of cutting forces. The result is a comprehensive overview of the factors affecting the eco design of production machines.

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the problematic directive for accounting management at the company ABC, s.r.o. The first part focuses on the theoretical base of internal directives in the sphere of accounting, and primarily focuses on current legislation. In the next part is introduced the company ABC s.r.o. and proposed directives for accounting management at the company. The aim of this written work is to propose such directives that will be in keeping with current legislation and internal requirements.

Total usage of design dates for CNC programming of turbine casing

This thesis aims at designing a solution to the comprehensive use of construction underlying documents for the CNC programming of turbine casings. The introductory part of the thesis contains a description of the CNC programming and CAD/CAM systems. The following is mapping of the current state of the construction underlying documents, and mapping of the situation in the department of technology in Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery, s.r.o., Brno. The further section presents an analysis of the problem that arose when processing and sharing the construction underlying documents with the aim of streamlining the CNC programming process. The closing part presents the evaluation and conclusions for implementation of the proposed solutions.

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of processing the application for VAT refund for fuel in the selected company. Another pillar of the work is to address the decision-making process of purchasing fuel in selected EU countries, taking into account VAT Refund Institute. All outputs of the thesis are applied to real problems in the selected firm and serves for its use.

Safety of band saw cutting machine

This Master's thesis summarizes the current legislative requirements resulting from the Directives of the European Parliament and Council and the legislative requirements of the Czech Republic in the field of cutting machines, with a focus on band saws. Furthermore, there is also an analysis of the requirements of the relevant harmonized standards. For information sorting, check lists for the construction of a band saw and a process map of the construction of the saw have been made. In the last part of this work, the selected safety applications were completed for the band saw.

Implementation of General Assembler

This thesis describes the design of the universal assembler that represents a part of the Lissom project. You will be provided with the description of the assembler architectures and their usual tasks. Special attention is paid to GNU assembler. Designed assembler consists of the fixed and the generated part. The generated part is created automatically from the description of instruction set, that is defined using architecture and instructions set description language ISAC. Using this approach, it is possible to change assembler target architecture automatically. The second part of thesis describes the Parserlib2 library implementation that is a part of the Lissom project and provides the information about the target instruction set for an assembler generator.

This diploma thesis is focused on the development of a new backup plan and its implementation. In introductory part of the thesis I explore the theorethical backround of data backup and data management. Next part is dedicated to analysis of current state and investor requierements. Last part is aimed to implementation of new backup plan with focusing on economic and quality point of view. Besides concept and realization of backup plan the concept of the backup directive is created .
